If you are dependent on scripting your Mac in order to automate your workflow, use Keyboard Maestro to run commonly used scripts with the touch of a button. WINDOW () Function The WINDOW () function returns the desired coordinate of the specified window, and can have one or two parameters. Maestro can automate click mouse actions as well, while the Execute Apple Script action lets you execute any Apple Script simply by pressing a key.
The program also uses this cool feature called Select Menu Item, which allows you to assign a hot key to any menu item in any application. So, if I love starting my day by listening to Jean Michel Jarre's Oxygene 4, I can assign this particular song to a key shortcut (i.e: Ctrl + O + 4). Just assign your shortcuts and advance to the next song, rewind the current song, play your favorites and so on. For example, you can control iTunes while in any application without having to switch to the media-playing app itself. You can activate them at any time you want, and use them to navigate through running applications and open windows working with an unlimited number of clipboards.

Keyboard Maestro lets Mac OS X users design a custom keyboard using their own shortcuts. Alternatively, you can temporarily quit the Keyboard Maestro Engine while importing macros and verify their behaviour before relaunching the Engine.Almost three weeks after issuing the latest update for Keyboard Maestro, Stairways Software has released version 3.3 of its macro application for Mac OS X. If you hold down all the modifiers (Command, Option, Control, Shift) when importing macros from a file they will be imported disabled (either the parent macro group will be disabled, or if it exists already, the macros themselves will be disabled).

Remember to use caution when installing a macro or macro library from anyone – macros can potentially do a lot of damage and compromise the security of your Mac, so only install macros from trusted sources. In previous versions of OS X, it was easy for software to override the X - Tab.
Unfortunately it does not have a GUI like Keyboard Maestro does, but the documentation is excellent and it has a strong following, meaning you can find plenty of examples and support online. You can get Macro Library entries from us or from other Keyboard Maestro users and add them to you library by double clicking them or by choosing Import to Macro Library from the File menu. It is a scripting language with a runtime engine and is really quite powerful. You can add macros to your library by choosing Export as Macro Library from the File menu and selecting the Add to My Macro Library checkbox. You can learn about them by selecting them, and then you can insert them into your macros by clicking the Insert button or by dragging them to a particular macro group (dragging is not available if the library entry represents more than one macro group as you can't drag to two macro groups). Each entry represents one or more macros, usually in a single macro group, but occasionally in more than one macro group.
